On Monday, I learned that Nick had passed. 


As I looked for photos of Nick through my memory boxes, it was bitter sweet. 


Such happy times of a life gone by, a life well lived, deep sadness for the loss of a friend. 


Nick really was a unique character, something that was appreciated by all his friends; the smile (grin), his voice, a look and mannerisms as vivid today as then. He shone brightly in his own wonderful light. The memories I have all leave a smile, a laugh despite the sadness. 


It reminds me that sometimes we lose touch but in an instant you realise that true connections are always there, they don’t disappear, and fondness and deep affection are in our hearts forever.
